Inspired Rock Fans - We LOVE Rock music. The musical energy and inspired lyrics remind us to cherish each other. To Live, Play, Learn, and Work together. Angry lyrics remind us to be good to one another. Lyrics depicting the pain of love lost reminds us to persist. Fun and party lyrics inspire us to play together. Knowledge of the difficulty and talent required to be part of a band keep us together as a family.
With Less, For Family - BareNaked is a play on living with less stuff to be together as a family. We traded our stuff, our fully loaded lifestyle to live our dreams of being on tour. For us, it required much less than we want, to live with what we need. We want a Prevost Tour Bus towing a Eurovan with properties around the world that will accommodate our traveling needs ~ but ~ our needs relegated a Van Down By the River ('92 Winnebago) and a '74 Volkswagen.
On Tour - We are living our dream of being on tour and traveling the country and the world as a family.
Persisting Together - Persisting to Live Together ~ so much more than coming to the same home after a full day to the same place. Persisting to Play Together ~ so much more than filling our calendar with activities. Persisting to Learn Together ~ so much more than doing a little homework now and then. Persisting to Work Together ~ so much more than a chore list.
To Inspire Other Families - To take back their family life. To visualize what their family wants and needs out of this flicker of time and space we are together on this earth. The flicker that is so much less than a full lifetime, the flicker that is a little more than a decade before the kids are writing their own lyrics about their family.
To Live the Dream Together - To live it now. To not wait till the kids are gone. To not wait till the money is there. To not wait for the 'security' that society has insisted we need. To revel in the security that is now, that is family.
Like Rock Stars - The band. The band that persists despite the odds. The band that keeps going ~ that reaches for the stars and accepts nothing less. The band that knows the power exists in the unity on stage. The art that is created by being together. The music that flows through them and to their fans. The energy that is created and never dissipates. The energy that goes out and affects others, inspires others... to dream. Like Rock Stars.
