Hello Barenaked Family: I learned about you folks this morning on the news on Channel 8 in Las Vegas, NV I envy you all, you are doing what I always wanted to do, but now at 78 years old I just can't do it. I did just buy a 5th wheel and a pick up and am going to spend the summer in it at the Sierra's in California, maybe take a trip toOklahoma to see my Son, after that I will see. Hi, Becky with Fox 7 News in Austin here. I saw that you guys were wondering why you were on the news all over the country, and I have your answer! Every night the "National News Service" calls us to see what kind of stories we're working on that day. We tell them, and if they think it's something other TV stations (all affiliates) would be interested in, we feed it to them. They then feed those stories from TV stations anywhere to stations everywhere. That's how you guys see stories about train derailments in Ohio and police chases in L.A. on our local newscasts. Anyhow, they called me Saturday, I told them about you guys, they booked a time for me to feed, and voila, Barenaked for the whole country. We're glad you guys liked the story! By the way, we at Fox 7 love the cool webpage you put up about our newscasts!

Hello BNF, We are homeless and unemployed right now and loving it! We sold a home and business in Nov. 2003 in Penna. We packed up our boys, Joshua-15, Joseph-13 and Jonathan-10 in a motorhome and spent the last 2 months enjoying the warm weather of Florida. WOW ... I think it's wonderful what you and your family are doing!! I know that my family could use less ... and more time just really getting to know each other. Don't get me wrong, I make sacrifices and am with my kids all the time as a stay at home mom. But with the daily routines of school and my husbands work and all the other things that take up our time, well, I just think more time could be had to enjoy each other without all that but we've become so used to it. Well ya know what?? We do too. I'm telling ya, its an amzing thing to be around that stuff, but you have to ask yourself the questions before you can flick things on. You know what I mean? So in my opinion, the nozzel thingy won't work unless you first dial the correct combination of shi-tloos. What are shi-tloos you ask? Well, did I say that I knew what they were? Heck NO! Anyway, we're gretting off the subject here. When you start up the button thingy, make sure that all the other button thingys are in the correct position, because if they aren't in the correct position, the shi-tloos will fly all over the chicken house. I thought it was important to tell you all that. Can you guess who this is, anyway?

You guys are so lucky-seems like you're having a blast. I write this from Anchorage Alaska- all four of us went on the road in our 35 foot Dutchman fifth wheel last year for six months and came back because the work dried up (hubby's an electrician). Now we can't wait to get back out again! Our kids are 10 and 3 and are just as restless as us. We'll definatly be looking for you to check out your BNFamily show-what a blast! Hello, I love your website! What great fun you all have. It has been a dream of mine to one day travel all over the US with my family. I dreamed it before I even got the family. Now, we are a family (me: Sonia, partner: Noah, girls: Jekaterina (2 1/2) & Freyja (6 months), plus ,sometimes, Noah's older girl: Ereshkigal (almost 11). We live in Greenfield, MA, and one day, several years from now, perhaps we'll remodel a bus and we'll come across y'all on the road and par-tay! BTW, Walnut Canyon in Flagstaff, AZ is really great with cliff dwellings that I have seen. Also, I have read about a place in CA where a man dug for 50 years and hollowed out an enormous "mansion" underground with orchards and everything- couldn't tell you where it is, but whenever I get to CA, you *know* I'm goin' there!! P.S. I found your website looking for Winnebago restriping information. I think I would pay you the 100 billion to restripe this thing. As you found Winnebago convinently does not make the stripe kit for my 1992 model. They want you to buy a NEW Winnebago for $99,999. And what do they make the stirpe of, it seems like fragile stuff with the cracking and peeling but try to remove it! It is made of Indestructium. For about 20 minutes I sat hear, glued to the screen. I was utterly entranced by the choices you've made and the beauty of your family. Oddly, I just set out to find a place to live back home. But I digress. Although there is a small piece of irony in disavowing material possessions on one screen and selling them on the next, I am past that and just pleased that you and your husband and kids are 'doing the damn thing.' It really is amazing and special. I wish I could donate a little today, maybe I'll mail my change bucket. Okay, I'm rambling, but this is kind of like a really nice phone conversation or a date that you don't want to end...so I am dragging it out a little. Just bought an 92 Elante 33'. Haven't gotten it yet but can hardly wait to try it out on the open road. This is my first motor home. I have had a 20' & 22' tag travel trailer and a 82 and 88 32' fifth wheel. Hope to make a trip from Phoenix, Az, my home away from home to Texas later on this fall. s/Robert E.
