Sunny and Kesley

The kids found these old albums from the fifties, sixties, and seventies and decided to turn them into art. Some of them have pictures the kids took on field trips around Texas they edited on the computer into all kinds of cool colors! Most of them have original album covers that are in great shape and a real piece of work themselves.

We have had so much fun reading all the crazy titles of these albums and getting an idea of what music was like back in those days! All the prices include shipping in the USA and barenaked love.

Smithville Water Towers ~ Smithville, Texas $25. Home of where Hope Floats was filmed. The kids love that movie so much so we took a field trip out there to visit the little town. It is a very small Texas town with the nicest people and the best pecans! (mama, they're all around this tree!!!). Austin changed the tint to get four different colors of the same picture. There is a mosaic frame around all the pictures made from broken albums. It's a great piece!

Gruene ("Green") Water Tower ~ Gruene, Texas $25. This little working town was deserted for years before some people came here and decided to bring it back. It has since been a touristy area though it maintains it's small towness. All kinds of famous musicians come through here to play at the famous Gruene Hall. We adjusted the tint to blue on this picture and have several copies of this picture in other colors!

Honky Tonk Piano $20

Milo's House $20

Little Gruene Cabin ~ Gruene, Texas $25 Sunny designed this album with a picture of a rusty old cabin in Gruene, Texas. This little town is one of our favorite places to visit. We adjusted the color on this picture to give it a more old timey feel.

Old Smithville Barn ~ Smithville, Texas. While we were cruising through the neighborhoods in Smithville the kids went on their own and got some cool pictures. They found this wicked cool barn and played with the tint to get a few different colors.

Dining under the Gruene Tower ~ Gruene, Texas $25 This picture is a black and white.

Hope Floats House ~ Smithville, Texas $25. We all went walking through the neighborhoods to find the house that they filmed the movie Hope Floats in. It was a cool, fancy house at the end of a street. In the movie they added decorations and a fence. You can barely see Kesley and Sunny walking down the street towards the house.

Gruene Hall ~ Gruene, Texas $25. This is a famous music hall where musicians like Lyle Lovett, Willie Nelson, and many more have played. It has been around since ma and pa were kids in the '70s and was originally built in the 1880s.
